If I could give negative star review I would! I rented a house called “flip flop” for my husbands 40th birthday. It was off season- December 28-Jan 2. We’ve been going to the obx for years and have rented a ton of houses and NEVER had this kind of experience. But it was our first time renting from Kees. Upon arrival we noticed the pictures from the listing were very outdated as the house did not look as pictured. Because it’s cold/flu season and we brought out 1.5 year old we went ahead and Clorox wipes all lights and door knobs, counter tops and tables. The Clorox wipes were BLACK. The carpet in the living room was visibly dirty, I moved the coffee table so my son would have room to play and there was an Excedrine Migraine pill on the floor! If I could give less than zero, I would. We booked this home through Marriott, expecting Marriott quality. Instead, we got Kees Vacations — a company that doesn’t inspect, maintain, or manage its properties with even basic professionalism. The online listing shows a clean, updated home. In reality, the photos are outdated and don’t reflect its condition. The house was poorly stocked, disorganized, and clearly uninspected. On arrival: 1 dishwasher was full of clean dishes from a prior guest; the other had a broken top rack and standing water. 3rd was non working. The kitchen had no potholders, dish towels, scissors, or trash bags. We used washcloths to handle hot pans and had to buy cleaning supplies and bags ourselves. We’ve been renting in the Outer Banks for many years, and unfortunately our experience with Kees Vacation and their property Caribbean Jewel was the worst we’ve ever had. The home was not as advertised. The listing photos were outdated, and the property showed clear signs of neglect. There was visible water damage, duct tape holding down parts of the floor in the main living area, and sliding doors that were extremely difficult to open and close. We also paid extra to have the pool heated, which was one of the main reasons we chose this home, but it never worked during our entire stay. On top of that, we dealt with flying cockroaches at night, a water leak in the theater room, and two window failures—one window fell open when we tried to open it, and another blew in during a storm. Great rental company! Super easy booking, great accommodations, super clean snd great response time for emails, questions, and keeping us informed on our rental! Will definitely use again.

Great little cottage! Located in Whalebone Cottages at Nags Head. The manager and others I interacted with were all helpful and friendly. Location was great with a nice community pool and a great private walkway for beach access. Nice friendly community feel with the other cottages. Our cottage “A” was clean inside except for the cushions on the couches in the living room. They had some staining maybe from people sitting on them while wet or spilling drinks, not sure. But really clean otherwise. They left some starter soaps, toilet paper and paper towels. Plenty of silverware, dishes, cups, mugs and cookware. There were linens in every room with a couple extra on the living room table. Each room has a smart tv that you can use to stream or cast on. A/C was cold and everything worked as exp
