Honest review for living in Island Place for 5yrs. The office censored my 1st review and contacted my property mgr to force me to take it down. Now that I left this awful place I can speak freely without censorship. The crime in this neighborhood is nothing like I’ve experienced before. I had my car broken into twice. My girlfriend did as well. It’s a routine thing here to get emails talking about another break in. There is literally one guard to protect two entire neighborhoods Island Place and Island Walk. If you have a family or don’t want your car broken into, please look elsewhere. These are 1993 apartments converted into overpriced condos. Meaning the pipes, floors and walls/insulation are over 30yrs old. You will hear everything above you including your neighbor having relati
This place is absolutely awful to live in the HOA does nothing and has the most unreasonable rules. They recently installed a new gate that is slower and more inefficient than the old one and it looks awful and is always broken. They also didn’t let me move out of here on Sunday or Labor Day because the truck had logos on the side now have to wait until Tuesday then they’ll allow it. They were going to charge me a $1000 fine if it entered. They nickel and dime everyone in here for every little thing. Talked to many residents and everyone suggest they need to switch their management company.
the workers they are using for the construction project are being put through really awful conditions. They are making them in the insanely high temperatures and then in the pouring rain. I never see any of them have any sort of shade or anything to protect them from the weather. I do not think it's right and it really seems like they are being exploited by Island Walk or whatever company is in charge of the project.
I live on island walk, the 3/2 are the bottom units with 3 different units on top. You can hear everything, when the upstairs people walk my windows shake and I have actually had stuff hanging on the walls fall. They let people remove the carpet without ensuring proper insulation so everyone just put either hardwood or laminate and you can hear everything, I can literally tell you how many times a day my neighbors go to the bathroom. The Hoa does nothing in regards to noise even with written complaints. If you suffer from any mental health issues prepare to up your meds because you will be on high alert unless you constantly have brown or white noise playing to block it out. Besides that the neighborhood is quiet and close to everything, I purchase due to location and security but if
I currently reside in Island Place and not Island Walk. Island Place all have garages on the first floor and residents occupying separate units on the second and third floors, with my residence being a second floor unit. Pro’s: Location, gated community, wildlife, pools, landscaping, and condos with garages. Con’s: Being on the second floor, I can hear almost every step and every time the front door closes of the tenants above me. Crazy because I don’t hear talking. One time I believe they were playing with their dog above my living room and must have jumped, which caused a peace of glass to fall from my chandelier and break on the floor. Likewise, the upstairs neighbors say they can hear my base if I use my TV surround sound, at normally a respective volume (not loud). This is my b
