Island Grove Apartments

I have lived at this property going on three years. When I first moved in. I had a wonderful landlord. I never had any problems and I could always get a hold of my landlord when I needed her. She had left the company and for almost a month and a half. I had no landlord since April 2022 I have not had pest control in my home I have not had my air filter changed nor have I had any contact from my landlord regarding my home! When I had noticed we had a landlord, I had went to speak to her, and she was extremely rude. She cussed at me and treated me like a dog! I would not wish for anybody to live in these top of apartments!!! There is also a mold in the apartments, and when the landlord was told about it, she said that there was nothing she could do to get bleach and clean it ourselves!!!!

We have been planning a move recently and viewed nearly every apartment complex in Monroe County. Island Grove, by far, is the most well kept property we’ve seen. The landscape, apartment units we viewed, the breezeways, and the clubhouse are super clean. We even did a drive-through on a Saturday night just to see what goes on, if it’s loud or a lot of loitering etc. and found a quiet neighborhood, well lit, with a couple small children playing. That was a plus! The manager, Brandy, whom met with us on time as scheduled, was prompt, courteous and has been kind, helpful and on top of her job from our very first communication. She has always been available to meet with us or talk over the phone during our transition process. And she is always going above and beyond to help us. Our first impr

These apartments are super nice and very roomy. The property manager is super nice and goes above and beyond her duty to make sure everything is up to par with everything. The maintenance guy is super nice and very prompt on fixing things. Very courteous.

If I could give this place a zero stars, I would. I was cussed at and thrown out of the office because I am disabled and had a vested service dog with me. Since Royal American has taken over, nothing is fixed. The floors are falling in, the pipes leak which create mold, and the kids are afraid to go outside and play when the manager, KaTrina Hicks, is here because she is cruel and rude to everyone. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

The apartments are nice but they are very cheaply built. Any of the management or construction workers will walk right in your home without a care in the world. They have a new manager every other month. They're rude & don't know how to do their job right! Don't let the looks fool you guys!
