Huntley Ridge New Albany Apartments

Ive been here a few months and like living here. The leasing manager Allei is great, and super quick to respond. Maintenance has been fabulous too. I had my dishwasher go out and they immediately ordered a brand new one and replaced it. They also replaced my sink faucet after it cracked. This apartment complex is affordable, very quiet compared to others and the dog park is great. My only sort of complaint is not the property related, but some of the tenents. But thats anywhere you go. Id definitely recommend these apartments. They even vacuum the hallways and provide poop bags for your dogs in the dog park which is great. I have been without heat in my apartment for two weeks, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. The weather has been cold, and despite multiple requests for updates, the management team has provided vague direction as to when the issue will be fixed. Living in these conditions is unacceptable, and the lack of urgency or transparency makes it even worse. Residents deserve basic living essentials and timely responses, and unfortunately this complex has failed to provide either. I hope the company takes responsibility and improves both their maintenance processes and communication with tenants.

Overall these apartments are good. The old management (AJ) completely screwed us over while initially viewing this apartment, and when we moved in. She said that the apartments have washer and dryer hookups, but made no efforts to say which ones didn't have them until after we signed the lease. The apartment we were given was not cleaned, needed the carpet stretched, and paint touch up. When we showed up to pay our lease, AJ asked us not to move in for several hours so the cleaning crew could clean it, and they never showed up. Then after we moved in, we were charged a renter's insurance fee because she didn't like how it was formatted (which Huntley ridge owns and recommends on their application). My first experiences here weren’t the greatest in the world but we finally after 3 years here have people that care about us ALEI AND KELLY CARE AND TAKE CARE OF US! Yes sometimes it may take a little longer but not out of lack of care but because they are cleaning up the issues of previous managers and maintenance staff and correcting problems from past staffing. I love them and they take care of us even when we get really annoying.

Do no leave a 5-star review for simply visiting. Reviews should be left by the actual residents. The Leasing manager does not reply to emails with any relevant responses when specifically asked questions. I provided a renter insurance document via email, requested an acknowledgment that it was received and that I would not be charged the waiver fee - nothing. Then after my renewal I was charged the renters waiver fee in addition to my own renters insurance. I sent another email to which she replied "I forgot to tell you that the certificate needs to have the property management name on it." I emailed her again within 24 hours with the certificate showing the property management name and specifically asked if I would be credited for the fee. She replied "thanks" and ignored me.
