Heatherwood Apartments

I want to share my experience with Jamboree Management to warn others before applying for an apartment. My husband and I recently toured Heatherwood Apartments in Garden Grove after finding a listing on Facebook. I reached out to the person who posted it and was given a phone number to call. I scheduled a tour and met with Martha, the property supervisor. First, I want to say that the apartment complex itself is well-maintained and visually appealing. While the exterior isn't brand new, that wasn't a concern as long as the interior was in good condition. I also appreciated how quiet the complex felt. This was by far the worse application process I’ve had ever. I was very specific to the manager on my situation of what I had and didn’t have to apply and she promised she would help and even said that some things she was able to work around. The same day I viewed the apartment was the same day I applied with a $70 screening fee for me and my husband. The next morning we got denied due to “OnSite” screening company they used denied us for having no history. My husband got an email on why his application got denied and I NEVER GOT ANYTHING. I asked the manager if she can please check why I never received my report and she said she couldn’t do anything, her hands were tied. Mind you, we paid for this report that I till this day haven’t received. I decided to call OnSite and they told me they

I lived here for 6 months and I can't wait to get out. The manager, Debbie, is unreasonable and extremely hard to get ahold of. Don’t even think about having visitors around, getting anything maintained in your apartment, or getting ahold of the property manager during emergencies. Living here is like living in a college dorm with an RA. If the manager does have an issue with something, she won’t get back in touch, she will just yell across the complex at you when you’re out grilling. I recently just had a pipe emergency and when I called the emergency maintenance numbers given by the voicemail box of the property, because Debbie wasn’t answering. The new onsite manager Martha, is a great to work with. She is extremely caring and considerate and had truly made this property a better place to live.

This place is very good, Ms. Marta is a very good manager, she cares about the tenants and the well-being of the families.
