Germantown Mill Lofts

My husband, daughter and I toured this property with Melissa. She gave us a detailed tour and spoke of how the loft used to be a cotton mill. They kept some of the buildings original touches giving it the most amazing feel of new, old and unique. And Melissa was so nice and and has a fun personality :) I am adding a few pics, hope you enjoy.

I will preface by saying the apartments look super cool, they’re very spacious, and the office staff/maintenance is friendly and helpful. However here is the issue: PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE IF TOU VALUE YOUR SLEEP. I have lived in 4 or 5 apartment complex’s in my life and this is by far the loudest. A lot of people complain about the train (which is loud) but you do get used to it. The issue is the people you live around. You will hear every single thing from your neighbors including footsteps, intercourse, and don’t get me started on dogs. The place is full of inconsiderate dog owners that will let their animal sit at home alone and bark for hours straight day and night. Again, super cool place in a nice area, but be prepared to hear every single thing possible. EDIT: The staff at Germa

I am proud to call GML my home. The office staff is incredibly helpful, and they go above and beyond to make the process of leasing simple. The maintenance staff is quick to respond, and fix any issues immediately. The apartment was immaculate upon move in! The grounds are well kept, and the pool area is always clean. Aesthetically, the interiors are gorgeous - beautiful wood floors, nice fixtures, and gorgeous windows.

We lived at GML for a little bit over a year and loved it. The entire complex is gorgeous and very well maintained. We lived on the third floor and it was accidentally the best decision because every time it rained you could hear it all, which was awesome. Maintenance and the front office are very responsive when needed too! The only down side were the noise levels of neighbors due to the thin walls. In some rooms I could hear entire conversations of my neighbors and I’m sure vise-versa. We had dogs, so the noise level of them bothering the neighbors was always something I stressed about too. All and all I would do it again in a heartbeat and I miss this place and it’s awesome windows!

Wanted to post a review specifically about living at GML with little kids in case anyone else was considering doing what we did. We lived at Germantown Mill Lofts for one year (2020-2021) with two young children and it was GREAT. There are few families that live in the complex (usually 2-3 at one time), but we never felt out of place and were welcomed by staff and residents. Our kids made lots of friends with others at the pool and in the courtyard, which are both great places to spend time with kids. The pool makes the summer bearable. There's usually lots of buff dudes and people sun tanning around the pool, but they don't seem to mind the kids splashing around.
