Forest Grove Apartments

I currently reside at Summer Ridge Apartments. My family and I moved into a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit in April 2014. I will start by saying that our experience living here has been just fine. It's a bit noisy during the day and during the summer months with a lot of kids living here but not intolerable. I never hear our neighbors as others have said (probably depends on what building and unit you are in) For the price you get a crazy good amount of square footage. I noticed upon move in that the trim around walls and doors was a bit shabby and the windows and doors are certainly outdated but everything is functional. This is probably one of the worse places I have ever lived and all I've ever done in my life is RENT. Thankfully I never had a vehicle broken into. I was harassed from day one of moving into this nightmare. Before the new property management took over it was still a nightmare. Management at that point was wonderful though. They were very caring and understanding of certain situations. Casey Harris is still there and very pleasant to deal with. She is professional and will do everything she can to help. The other manager Cassidy, not so much. She is professional, but shouldn't be dealing with the public. You do not get that warm feeling from her when speaking to her. We have lived here for 3 yeas. Quick to act when we put in work requests. One time my dryer went out, and they had it fixed by that evening. As with a lot of equal housing opportunity homes, you may run across your bad egg in way of neighbors, but for the most part this place is full of families and we personally have never had any issues with our neighbors above and beside us. Others mentioned mold, and that has been a problem for us in the past as well... however, they have since changed out the windows and sliding glass doors and since then, we no longer have mold growing along the corners. When we did complain in the past, they cleaned it up and repainted the areas that were treated. It's clean and well kept. The staff has always been courteous and polite. Decent apartment, add is decieving, makes it seem like apts are more modern/new. Apartments are large and spacious with lots of storage but they are very old and not well kept. Kitchen cupboards are super old with YEARS of grime on them. They're painted with flat paint so it's difficult to spot wash walls. Soft spots in the floors and no one ever returns phone calls... Ever! Getting things fixed sometimes takes months... They look beautiful in the ads but I don't know. I guess it just depends on what you're willing to put up with. Lots of room for improvements!

UPDATED- PLEASE READ: After being suggestively badgered by office staff to review: 10/2016: **I haven't moved in yet**. However, I can say that my interaction so far with office staff has been pleasant and the grounds are clean. I look forward to calling this place home. Now, 10/21/2017 DO NOT MOVE HERE!! This place is awful. Used Needles laying in the parking lot and near the playground, piles of dog feces everywhere, tenants constantly complaining of ants and mold just to give you some insight. Also, Property manager Janice Moore is a lying deceiving and manipulative human being that should never have a job in customer service. She falsified documents and posted them on my door pretending to be an officer of the law. She withheld important information which ended my residency at this e
