Evergreen Apartments

My house smells like roaches. When I started encountering issues with Evergreen in November of 2023, it quickly became clear that the comfort and safety of their residents are very low priorities for McKinley. I thought I would wait until I moved out to write this review, but I haven’t even put my kitchen back together since I had to unpack half my apartment for last Wednesday's pest treatment. This place has no possibility of meeting the standards of a home, so it feels essentially the same. While waiting yesterday for a call back about my twice-broken heat, myself and several neighbors received notices that - at any given time during business hours/days from November 12th-19th - Pittsfield Township would be entering apartments to complete code work following multiple failed inspections

I am so thankful to be in this Apt since 2022. The love I found here from our Neighbers and the office people, is beyond the actual reality of this time. This is a place where all the kids play together during summer time and we greet each other. You can’t see it at other apartments. I am so happy to be here, because we are together although we do know each other, but we greet each other. For the office staff, they are so helpful and patient. In general, I am so thankful to the office staff, but those in maintenance, they need to respond to the call. That’ s all I can say know. Thanks for all Christine Kabwanga,

This review is primarily for Lori in Maintenance with a shout out to Brook in the Leasing Office. Brook, returned my call in a timely manner and advised me to contact the Emergency Heat issue at my apartment. She was attentive and apologized sincerely for the inconvenience. Upon my return to my apartment, I called the Emergency Service and Lori promptly returned my call and arrived at my place shortly rhereafter. She quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. I am grateful for her quick and efficient repair of the heating problem, especially during the recent Artic blast. Lori has done some minor repairs at my apartment in the past. I have found her to be highly competent with the highest regard for providing great service. She a great asset to the Mckinley Maintenance Team.

I have been a resident of Evergreen for a number of years. I have had no negative experiences during that time. The grounds and building maintenance have been fine. Snow and ice are promptly dealt with; driveways and sidewalks are cleared right away. Laundry facilities are maintained well. The location is very good; it is near to grocery stores (Kroger and Meijer). The management staff have always dealt with the (few) issues I have had with alacrity. Any repairs have been done right away. I recommend Evergreen to everyone who asks me about the experience of living here. Keep up the good work, I appreciate it!

I have lived in Evergreen Apartments for about 3 years and while we have had some issues (to be expected in an older building) the leasing and maintenance teams have been great in addressing concerns and are always very kind. Given the age of the building and appliances there have definitely been issues like pests, mold, and appliances not always working fully but it is generally quiet and well maintained. A special shout out to Lori on the maintenance team! Any time she comes by to fix something she is super nice and takes time to explain why and how repairs will go. She also goes out of her way to say hello to my pups whether she is helping us out or just passing by while we are out on walks ☺️
