The rating should be zero! Before signing a lease here, ask yourself this: Do you want loud knocking and noise at all hours? Rooftops that smell like urine and feces? Brown water—or water so hot it can burn your skin? Car break-ins are frequent. There was even a drug bust on the property (look up the news). Security is either nonexistent or ineffective—when present, guards were often asleep or on their phones. Buildings are left open, and anyone can come and go. Electricity bills are outrageously high and take months to resolve. Management is unresponsive—our last email took two weeks to get a reply. This is not luxury living, despite the price. I want to take a moment to recognize the outstanding service provided by the maintenance team, John and Jason, the concierge team, Freddy and Rowland, and Shekinah in the leasing office. (My apologies in advance if names are spelled incorrectly. ) John and Jason are consistently professional, responsive, and incredibly skilled. No matter the issue, they handle it quickly and efficiently, always making sure everything is completed to the highest standard. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile truly make a difference in the quality of living here. Freddy and Rowland at the concierge desk are equally exceptional. Just wanting to give a shoutout to John and Lazarus the maintenance here at Estela, they came in today to swap out the washer in a very swift and efficient manner & I couldnt be more satisfied with the work done. The maintenance team here at Estela are very prompt on responding to work order tickets usually showing up same day to address the issues. Along with them, I just also want to show recognition to all of Estela management, maintainence and conceierge|front desk team. There doesnt seem to be too many members in each of those departments but still, they do their best in mantaining the upkeep of the building, often even picking up and tidying up after those that shouldve been taught to do it for themselves and|or their children (no shade but truth) and they remain accomodating, always

The Sad Downfall of Estela… I moved into Estela in Mott Haven, Bronx, when it felt like a promising, upscale community. Unfortunately, the last six months have been a complete nightmare. What was once a decent place to live has spiraled into a poorly maintained, overpriced disappointment. Pros: - Close to Manhattan - Nice rooftop with views of the Hudson - Dog Park and Media Room - Beautiful lounge areas - Fully equipped gym and basketball court - Garage Cons: Overpriced & Poorly Maintained – The rent is sky-high ($3,400 for a one-bedroom) for a building where nearly everything is broken or neglected. Filthy Rooftop – Stains, grime, and swarms of flies make the roof nearly unusable. Black Mold in Ice Machine – Reported to management, but no action taken. Armed Guards Over Residents

Alright, it took me a while to leave a review. But here it is! Can I just say that aside for being a beautiful building, Estela throws the best events!?! Estela could be like every other building in NY but they really stand out with the amazing events that Tiffany and Melvis throw! And with a busy schedule like mine, but also being a homebody, these events are my social life, and I can't imagine living at a place that DOESN'T do these type of events!! I've been to a Paint 'n' Sip, a Wine tasting, a Trivia Night, and Bonsai planting event, Karaoke, and they had a first Bingo Night.... like... please keep it going you guys! You guys make Estela the place to be! Plus, with their dynamic personalities, it's always a fun event with them hosting. Not to mention everyone on staff is super friendl
