Chestnut Hill Apartments

Honestly the best place in Morgantown I feel to rent. Price is reasonable, quality apartments/townhomes, and a great location (next to the hospitals and football stadium). Brandy is a very nice property manager and cares for the tenants and property.

I moved here from North Carolina, and was fortunate that a friend recommended Chestnut Hill Apartments. I had seen so many apartments that were quite expensive and were built in essentially “concrete jungles.” Yes, these are old, but that makes them quiet. No paper-thin walls. I’ve been here for 3 years and have no plans to ever move. There are folks here of all ages and nationalities, and I have never met a rude one. The property manager, Brandy, makes sure that this beautiful park-like setting is well maintained. If I have a problem, she helps right away.

I truly enjoyed living here and regret having to relocate; I could walk to HSC and the hospital regardless of inclement weather and save on parking. From the outside, some of the buildings look a little in disrepair which is not helped by the stark concrete architecture, but the actual units are very recently remodeled. What I loved most about Chestnut Hill is that it feels like living in a park; tall trees filtering light, small pathways, and playgrounds. A lot of families live there, so you'll see them swinging and climbing and playing basketball. In the winter, some went sledding. A feature that was being added to the buildings was card access, but this seemed mostly redundant because I always felt safe. At least outside of the high rise, the place seems largely devoid of undergraduate

Got a 2 bedroom promised it would be renovated. It either was never renovated or poorly renovated. Many problems, only nice thing was partially new appliances. The 2nd bedroom didn’t even have AC which totally ruined the place. They showed us a totally different apartment from what we actually got. From plumbing to dishwasher problems. Just countless problems. Very cheap flooring. The second bedroom looks like a storage room turned into a bedroom. The windows can’t even fit a proper window AC unit. Then the office doesn’t even care. Over priced for all the cons.

DO NOT LISTEN TO OTHER REVIEWS. SERIOSULY. This apartment complex is one of the most affordable places in morgantown. Brandy is very competent and does her job very well. She listens to everyone's issues and works very hard to get them resolved. Shes worked with me and my husband to help make our time living here very comfortable and relaxed. One of the best landlords in morgantown, especially considering literally every other landlord is just a slumlord. Yes, the apartments are not brand new but they are very clean and efficient. There is NO noise at all. It is very quiet (with exception of game days, since we are right across the street from the stadium) there is ample parking. I will miss our home here very much, because I know I wont get another renting experience just as good as this
