Brookside Apartments

I would give zero stars. Please read this if you’re considering moving here: Constant break-ins, theft, and car vandalism in the building, parking lot, and surrounding areas. No security, cameras, or patrol of any kind. Water shuts off about once a month, sometimes for multiple days with no notice. When you finally do get the water back on, it comes out brown and cloudy. Water leaks from the ceiling and walls from the upper units. Thick paints, paint thinners, and toxic chemicals are used constantly when they ‘renovate’ a vacant unit. Coin op laundry room floods constantly, leaving your clothes soaked and sitting in dirty water. Maintenance entered my apartment while I wasn’t home, to place radon test kits and poisonous rat killer strips- all within reach of my toddler. The property backs

If I could give this place not even a star, I would. I broke my lease due to criminals and crackheads roaming around at all hours of the night. Cops constantly there. People screaming being chased in the middle of the night. Cars being being broken into. I paid my move out fee and the landlord misplaced my checks into a different account and was sure that she did not receive my money when I had proof of it being paid. They decided to keep my deposit and stated that " it goes towards unpaid balances". My balance was paid before it was due? Trash place to live. I do not recommend to anyone.

Within a week of signing a lease (about 3 years ago), for the house on the lot (owned by the apartment company), they moved a camper just outside blocking the way into the carport a little bit. They did this without asking and plugged the camper into the electricity...that I was paying for. When confronted they said they'd give us 25$ a month for the costs (our bill went up well over 100$). Not at all taking into account how much electricity they would use or that they were less than 10 feet from the door and less than 20 from my bedroom window. We rented a house because we didn't want to be in an apartment with nosy neighbors, not to get a nosy and exploitive landlord. Glad I was able to break my lease and get out of there after a couple months. Yall are shady af and I'm pretty sure what

There's a huge gaping hole under the sink in the wall, the water turns yellow sometimes, the bathroom shower temperatures are boiling hot or freezing cold, the maintenance is always so loud at 8am on a weekend without them sending out an email or anything for notice. The surrounding area is the worst I've ever lived in. So many homeless people and shootings. I've only lived here for a couple months but so far it's the worst apartment experience I've ever had.

A great value with a nice location and staff. Big improvements over the years.
