I applied for a residential apartment with this company, only to be informed the very next day that our company was denied—without any clear explanation. I have an 850 personal credit score, and my company operates multiple locations with an 830 business credit score, yet we were still declined. The national AvalonBay company is the worst landlord I ever had and have stolen hundreds of dollars from me. Their financial systems have a serious bug that they refuse to acknowledge and they are probably illegally charging many tenants across the country for erroneous transactions. Among the various issues I had with my move-out process, one of their staff erroneously processed my move out paperwork two days early. This caused their regional financial system to credit me for the two days I had already paid for and then later debit me the same money for those two days to finish up my lease (all of which is fine).
