I was living in a studio at the 811 6th avenue Oakland, CA property, and moved out September 15, 2025. Its been 3 months now and there has been no mention of my security deposit. They stole all $1645, the property manager Tomás Ortega completely ghosted me, and no matter how many times I call and tell them about my issue nothing happens apart from staff submitting my issue to their system. Now I have to sue. I literally always paid my rent on time and in full, this is so wrong!!

I have moved to this place back in August and I asked the management about the grill in the common yard, does it work, do I have to book it ahead of time, is there a process or is it based on first come/first serve basis but I haven’t received an answer. I decided to go check it out myself without receiving an answer from the property management and I found out that it doesn’t work. I have submitted several maintenance tickets but nothing has been done to address this issue. I waited for a little bit and followed up later again and I did it several times but nobody got back to me. It is already December and the grill is still not working.

Love this place! The townhome experience allows for a more intimate/accountable common area. In house laundry always a plus. My unit is the perfect size and look for myself as a student. Hope to live here a long while!

This apartment has the worst management team I have ever experienced. There has been no hot water for two days, and nobody has responded to the maintenance tickets. The Wi-Fi is terrible — you can’t even have a stable video call between 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. The neighbors often throw loud parties on Mondays from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m., and management never addresses the issue. You either have to deal with it yourself or call the police. The rent is far too high for such poor management. The building is made mostly of wood, so the noise insulation is terrible — you can clearly hear the train passing by and your neighbor arguing with her boyfriend. There are also several homeless people just one block away.

Nice and clean place. Comes furnish which is a great add on for my lifestyle of traveling. Great staff. Property manager Tomas is excellent, professional and always available to assist.
