My story would take several paragraphs. But to make it as short as possible, my wife and 10 month old baby were interested in moving here. We put $8000 down on a premium lot after getting pre-approved with their partner mortgage company. A few days later we were called by the mortgage company and told we needed to make a larger down payment or get a co-signer to be approved for the initial amount because they had calculated our income incorrectly. We were unable to get a co-signer so they cancelled the loan contract. We were told my the mortgage agent and sales agent at this location we would get our deposit back because of the cancellation... Well... I took the initiative to put a stop payment on the check with my bank just in case. It turns out that even after knowing we were denied the

I was going to buy a home at this location, and decided the home was not worth the price so I canceled my contract. This is where my experience worsened. I put the advertised thousand dollars down and five hundred for a bathroom upgrade (stand up shower instead of a shower tub combination) within days of signing the contract I called an canceled it. I was never provided a copy of the contract and i have been inquiring for over a month. I want to know if I am entitled to any of my down payments since the house is no longer being built. I have emailed the staff and showed up to the model office and they claim to not maintain any paperwork on the premises.
