740 River Drive

We have lived here for 6 months now after moving to MN from FL. We are long time renters and military veterans and have lived in many rental properties across the country over the years. The Good: - The building itself is a diamond in the rough. You can tell just how classy it was in its prime. - The views of the river and surrounding area are amazing as is the location in Highland Park neighborhood accessible to walkable stores but also to nature. - The location is quiet and fairly low crime. - The community in the building is the BEST! They are active and engaging and truly love living here. There are a lot of community supported events and social clubs in the building and a lot of tenants know each other. They are always welcoming and looking out for new tenants, too. - The apartments

Edit 10/7/25: The dude who does their finances ignored my attempts to make the rent payment for the last month, and it's been 6 weeks without a deposit return and without any sort of mail from anybody regarding why our deposit hasn't been returned. We had to remind them that they owe us that communication. Someone is working with us now, but the company that manages the building should have been on top of that. I didn't want to believe that Fine Bros were money-hungry, but it's hard to defend them after this and the move in discount email they sent us immediately after trying to raise our rent. I stayed with friends here. Their heat all winter was horribly hot with a malfunctioning thermostat. He had his windows open all winter- in Minnesota. He was going to escrow his rent, but decided to move out instead. He’d had enough. Also, they still advertise that the pool is heated. don’t you believe it. It’s never ever been heated. I thought the temperature level was fine, but if you’d like a warm pool, forget about it. They really need to take that off their website. It’s false advertising. The view is fabulous. The work out room is cramped, but decent. The people that live there are very nice.

I’ve been living here for a year, only good thing is good view for high floor. But you can tell it’s a pretty old building, old style washing machine, old windows, wind always get in the door. Lound noise during the rainy day and the Winter , is horrible. Also, I’m preferred do you don’t expect your deposit back , because it’s a no furniture apartment, when you move out you room will be for charge for remodel, repaint, trash deposal , deep cleaning for pet, and 30 hours labor cleaning fee. Which means your deposit will be fully kept, barely can be returned.

I have lived here for 7 years . In the past year the bldg has had multiple wonderful renovations & the staff is terrific. The gardens out front are lovely. This is a very friendly community with great amenities. Living here is safe & peaceful.
