Great Space & Place To Live First Apartment So Grateful & Wanted To Show Appreciation
I've lived here two years. Building is a landmark structure dating to late 1920's. Lobby is beautiful, unique, and well kept. My apartment is well-constructed. Amenities include central air, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and stainless steel fridge. Plenty of closet space. On the 3rd floor, there's a gym for tenants. You're located in the middle of everything; convenient walk to French Quarter, CBD, and Warehouse District. The streetcar stops one block away. It is a safe, quiet building-but for extra peace of mind, the management provides a security guard at night. If you value diversity and city living, give this place a look.
Do not rent here. They will nickle and dime you. You have to constantly call them to fix anything. They are not flexible on anything. Even if you give them notice when your rent will be late they will charge you (no exceptions). Apartments smell musty and are cement blocks with windows. You'll feel like you're living in prison. Also all of your guests have to check in with a security guard.
Stay away. Almost any other option indowntown is better. Way too much money for what it is. I got an apartment at 4 Winds for a $100 more but it’s a cleaner, nicer, prettier and better optioned building. The floors are hideous at 200 Carondelet. They staff are complete idiots and the have too many section 8 residents that commit crimes on the property like theft. Stay away and avoid at all cost. Building is gross and non-desirable.
I agree! Building is poorly maintained and the apartments are so cheaply put together for what they expect to charge for rent! I found out they had a large amount of section 8 people selling drugs on property! The manager lied and she said there was no section 8 residents but she lied. A man came up to me asking me for a dollar while i was touring for an apartment. The building stunk bad too. I got a better deal at 925 Common.
