Zalmen Management

I rented a unit in one of their buildings in Bed Stuy for three years and all my interactions with them were positive. They even sent someone over to correct the wiring for the ethernet in the unit, and a few times when there were other issues, their super Freddie was always helpful. The owner at Zalmen that I engaged with was kind and reasonable.

haven’t had hot water for a week (the week of thanksgiving ), apartment has a huge rat problem, and every time the neighbor upstairs showers it leaks through so my bathroom ceiling and floor are ruined. Their response? What response. They’re incredibly rude on the phone and the super just patches something up and leaves. When he does come.

Absolutely the worst people I’ve ever rented from. All they do is collect rent and ignore their tenants. Never rent from these people.

Terrible! Never reach them when you do they always want to do quick fixes instead of actually fixing the problem. The manager never returns phone calls and always says no. They have a terrible roach problem and they expect people to stay home on Wednesday every month for pest control to come. They want your money but they want you to take off work and wait around . Mind you the pest ppl never knock on the door . Its ridiculous

The building management is dismissive and neglectful of maintenance requests, likely due to their disregard for low-income residents. They are short and rude over the phone, especially if you don’t speak English fluently, and show no courtesy even when you're polite. Basic respect is clearly missing. They need training on how to treat people with dignity, though this is unlikely to happen given their position of power (at least here on earth).
