Youngstown Apartments

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! There was no where in the original lease that said we had to keep all utilities on if we moved out early, but then come May, Jen sends out an announcement that says utilities have to stay on even if we move early. Never in my renting experiences have I had to keep my utilities on if I was paying for them and they weren't included in the rent. Do not judge a book by its cover! I loved the look of the outsides but the insides are not what they should be! Dogs barking and kids yelling all throughout the day and night. Jen was extremely rude anytime I had a question or needed something in the apartment fixed. Would NOT recommended living here at all. I lived here for not even three months. The girl I was supposed to live with changed her plans, and when she asked to sublease to my other roommate, it didn’t happen and we signed an addendum instead. My roommate did not pay rent. The landlord refused to evict either of us because she “didn’t want it on her record.” When I moved in, there was dead flies, stained carpet, and it reaked of cigarettes. The landlord does not push for people to pay rent. My roommate lived there basically for free. If you want a problem solved, the landlord laughs at you and gets smart. She is rude, careless, and vindictive. Do NOT live here!!

10/10 would NOT recommend this apartment complex! Jen the manger is very rude. It takes forever for them to come fix things and when they do they don’t do it right or try to pin it on you. They have now changed their lease if anything goes wrong you are now required to pay for it they will no longer accept responsibility. I had health complications and had to leave the apartment early and Jen tried to black ball me from leaving even when i told her i was out of work due to the health complications and would not be able to pay my rent and was trying to leave before getting an eviction notice and she threatened to serve me with one anyways. Back in 1976 when John Young expanded the complex I was the 1st renter in a two floored one bedroom apt that then rented for $180 a month. When we moved in there was a light bulb hanging from the ceiling without a fixture that stayed that way for the two years I rented that unit. There was no insulation in the walls for the 2 years I was there. With electric heat, our electric bill ran as high as the rent in the winter. On move in day there was broken glass from a shelf all over the carpet. We wound up cleaning it up. In year two a pipe started leaking that management tried to blame me for until they removed the drywall and realized there was a drywall screw that had been driven into the pipe but was now leaking. Management was unresponsive then and it appears that hasn't changed.

Obnoxious manager by the name of Jen. Has a superiority complex to match those extreme right views of hers. These apartments have a serious mold problem. We moved out early for fear of our children getting sick and she had the audacity to sue us. We tried to get another apartment and she told the leasing manager we had housekeeping issues. She is a vindictive person with not a single ounce of dignity. Her tactics are borderline criminal and she should be investigated
