Winfield Lakes - New Homes by Long Lake, LTD

We built a home with long lake in Winfield Lakes. Its a terrific community and a great value! We really enjoyed working with Richard. He was honest and upfront about the building process. We had a few concerns about a few items that needed to be fixed after closing and Richard assured us that everything would be taken care of, and it was. Beautiful home and great location. We just buy a house in Westfield Ranch, Katy and after receiving the keys, I found out that the dishwasher was actually not installed and failed the MUD inspection. During our contract negotiation, they offered to deliver the house with all appliances installed and working prior to the contract closure. We delayed the contract signature for 1 week waiting for the appliances installation, they sent pictures of the appliances. The day of contract signature, I was told that everything was installed and working, which was not the case. After picking up the keys after contract signature, I found that the dishwasher was missing a piece and that had to be order. Be VERY careful when buying from Lake Ridge Builders if you do not use their finance company because they will find a way to fine you 1% per day for each day that you're not ready to close once they say that they are 'finished' building the home. This includes any time that an outside mortgage company would need to finish the final inspections. Not to mention that the fencing wasn't finished before they declared the house 'ready for sell'. As a single mother with two little ones, they decided to fine me an extra $1500 just to close. If my mortgage agent and real estate agent hadn't accepted the hit to simply help me move in, I wouldn't have been able to close. Lake Ridge Builders in Huntington Place sucks. First off the sales person was not very detailed on a lot of information. A lot of things were not up to part after the house was build. Did a walk through and we left blue tape everywhere. The lead person that did the walk through with us assured that it would be taken care of. We went to the sales office with complaints so many times, even speaking with the lead person that did all the promising. He came over to our property again with a worker and made promises again that they would take care of everything. Still to this day nothing is done. The blue tape is still in areas where we first put them. Buyers beware.

Made the worst mistake of my life by choosing to build with this company. All materials are cheap. House poorly built with many errors and amateur level quality of work. Workers are intoxicated daily. Horrible customer service. Andy takes over a month to adhere to your contract for service. Susan just wants to get your money. It's obvious. Please don't build or purchase with them. Trust me
