Willow Shores Apartments

Been living with a rotted ceiling for weeks. Refuse to repair hole in the roof. Work order put in promptly, ignored promptly, and even when asked by other tenants about it, was given the reason that the owner refuses to call a roofer. This may have been a great complex, but it has fallen quite far. I have two children living in this busted apartment. Meanwhile, my rent has increased tenfold while the facility has gone down. Meanwhile, every time it rains now, it pours more and more through causing more and more of the ceiling to rot. There are much safer and better places to live, for the price that they’re charging for my one bedroom. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

After my lease term ended, management—specifically Kathy Schipper, Property Manager—issued a rent increase / lease renewal offer. I signed and returned the offer promptly, clearly accepting the proposed terms. However, management never countersigned the agreement and never provided written notice that the offer was withdrawn or rejected. Despite the absence of an executed renewal, my account was unilaterally treated as month-to-month and assessed a $200 “Month-to-Month” fee for three consecutive months, totaling $600. These charges were applied without a signed agreement and without proper written notice. Equally concerning was the lack of response from management. Costs have gone up without any meaningful upgrades. Pleasant area, friendly staff, quick response so no real complaints. Guess inflation is the cause. Upgrades to pool and fitness room would be nice along with an addition of a community space for larger gatherings that is available for use by residents for a fee. I had this option at a previous property and it was a great use. Would raise the score to 4 or 5 stars immediately

Beautiful community, and very conveniently located. The apartments are spacious and very well maintained. I had the pleasure of working with Kathy throughout my touring and application process and she was wonderful!! Thank you so much.

Maintenance is sketchy.....had to contact the office numerous times to have the issue o f squirrels getting into my attic. Pool Is very small (more like a bath tub). Every lease renewal automatically comes with a significant rent increase. When i addressed this issue with office staff they said it would benefit me to change to a 6-month lease....well guess what they raised my rent twice per year !!! Thin walls , shoddy gym, etc.etc. staff is only concerned with corporate overlords NOT the tenants!!!! Stay away ...
