I have lived at 90 Alexander St Unit 1 for the last 2 years. At first glance it seemed like the perfect way to start my journey in Rochester. It started with electrical outages here and there that were initially quickly resolved. When I re-signed my lease a year later it got a lot worse. In July whenever I would use my microwave it would trip the circuit and I had no access to the breaker. It took on 3 occasions 4-5 days to flip a breaker. Causing me to lose 100s in groceries. Essentially being without power for 3 weeks with a day or 2 in between outages. I was told that my microwave was defective and replaced it. The microwave was not the issue as these outages kept happening. They then replaced the breaker. I was told by someone on their maintenance team “This building needs to be rewire

Someone told me I didn’t qualify to even see an apartment they listed the rent was only $1100 a month… I make over 70 K a year by myself not including my spouse and they told me I didn’t qualify to pay $1100 a month Because my credit score requirements were five points below what they’re asking for…. I find that to be completely unbelievable and ridiculous

They were okay at cleaning up the mound of trash the rats lived in, but not so good at returning a security deposit. If you move out and don't get your deposit back with interest, file a complaint with the NY Attorney General. There are enough slummy landlords that think they can keep deposits, there's a form right on the page to file a complaint.

I had a bad feeling from the start. First our leasing agent told us there was central air even when it was obvious there wasn’t-there are radiators and no vents. The downstairs bathroom started to grow mold on the ceiling because there was no fan and when we asked about it, the maintenance man said we would just have to open the window when showering. To be fair the maintenance man tried to do a lot of things and get Wilco to do a lot of things for us, including the bathroom fan, but no luck. Wilco would clearly rather do a quick cheap fix than a fix that will actually last and solve the problem. We had rodents in the walls and no one wanted to believe us. They came and baited but it didn’t help. Everything was bare minimum. Another thing when we signed the lease, there has clearly been sm

From the start, this company seemed shady. They told us if we gave a 5 star review they would give us $50 off rent and then crumpled the paper up right in front of us and threw it out. Some of the 5 star reviews might stem from that. Maintenance came and fixed a couple things. They let themselves in on multiple occasions after us letting both the secretary and him know that we didn't want anyone entering without us agreeing to it 24 hours in advance. They scratched an heirloom table after letting themselves in to replace a gas stove that had been leaking on the first day we moved in, with an electric working stove
