Whitestone at Landmark

Still living here and happy! Most people write reviews after moving out, but I’m still living here on the 10th floor and in November, it’ll be 2 years for me, my husband, and our two pet dogs. When I first moved to the U.S., this building was my top choice because: 1. My sister, her husband, and their dog live on the 7th floor 2. It’s pet-friendly 3. It has a gym I’ve read some of the negative reviews, but from what I’ve seen, management is making a real effort to improve things and that matters. The view from my apartment is still one of my favorite things. Whenever there’s a problem, they now try to solve it quickly. Oscar, from maintenance, often comes himself to take care of issues, which I really appreciate. Kate and Ruth at the leasing office are super friendly and always helpful

I've lived here for about 4 years and my experience had been mostly positive. I've never had an issue with management or maintenance. You can tell they care about their tenants. There's plenty of parking and I've always felt safe around the building. The only negatives are the dog smells in the lobby and hallways and the AC breaking every so often. Still they do their best to keep both under control. All in all, I would recommend.

★☆☆☆☆ DO NOT MOVE HERE – SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Living at Whitestone Apartments has been a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. The building constantly smells due to dogs urinating in the hallways and on the carpets. Instead of actually cleaning the mess, management sprays an overpowering, strange-smelling air freshener to try and cover it up. It doesn’t help, it just mixes with the odor and makes it worse. We dealt with ongoing noise complaints for several months that were completely ignored. The music would start around 7pm-8pm and go well into the early morning hours(most weekends stopping at 6am) it was so loud it would literally shake the walls and floors of our apartment. I was so unsure of the snow last weekend and how I would go anywhere. I was very much impressed on how Whitestone handled the situation with clearing the roads immediately and everyday, giving out snow shovels for residents with Ruth giving guides on how to dig your car out. And clearing out the snow out of parking spaces. Thank you Whitestone. It is very much appreciated. Thank you Ruth and Katerina 😊

I’ve been living at Whitestone for 2 years and have surely enjoyed my experience. Highlights: The rent is affordable and the location is superb, located about 15 minutes or less from DC. Having open parking with many spaces available + having a large, 24/7 gym on top of that (with various pieces of equipment may I add) is a GEM while living in the city. Side note: the balcony view is really incredible, easily the best part about my apartment. If you want that skyline view I recommend floors 6 & up! I’ve captured the best sunrise photos throughout my stay and it truly never get old. (My balcony faces the back, towards the dog park for anyone curious!) I am a bit surprised to see the many reviews regarding pests or rats because I have not once encountered this situation in my apartment dur
