We have had a a superfluous amount of hot water issues, at one point in time we went an entire week without hot water. Don’t worry though, they’ll just tell you to go YMCA and shower until the issues is resolved! Then we had another major water incident where it was completely shut off for a couple days. DO NOT STAY HERE! They charge easily 50% more than another other apartment complex in Muncie and advertise “luxury” living. There is never salt on the sidewalks and there was snow in the parking lot for almost a month straight because they refuse to pay for a plow. I got stuck in the parking lot and had to pay a tow truck 250$ to come at 2am so I could go to work. Keep in mind this was 2 weeks after it snowed and the parking lot was a sheet of ice. Asked management to pay since it was clearly not my fault and they denied it. If you google “granite student living lawsuit” it goes on forever about how people have sued this company for unsafe living conditions. Please don’t waste ur time renting here

White River Lofts is a horrible place to live, and the management company, Granite, is even worse. The apartment building stinks of cigarettes and weed, with butts littering the ground outside the exits and on the rooftop terrace, which is ill maintained. Piercing building alarms sound off inside the apartments at all hours and take forever to reset. The elevator and hot water don’t work for weeks at a time. Trees break and fall in the woods next to the building, with cracked limbs hanging over the cars in the parking lot. Water leaks into the stairwells, producing a malodorous mess. Sidewalk salt is sprayed all over the windows during winter creating another unsightly mess. The management is an abomination. I lived at White River Lofts in Muncie, Indiana for two years, and unfortunately, my experience was consistently disappointing. Throughout both years, I endured extended periods without hot water, which is unacceptable in any residential building—especially one marketed as a modern “loft” community. Additionally, the building’s only elevator was out of service for three consecutive weeks, causing major inconvenience to all residents and did consider prorated rent at all. The rooftop area has remained unfinished during my entire stay, despite being advertised as a key amenity. For the outrageous rent they charge, this place is far from luxury living.
