I have lived here 4yrs and things have changed a lot since we got our new manager Rene Martinez she is very caring and helpful. She has tried to turn around the complex and so far has showed progress. I know if I have concerns she will address them. She makes sure to check me whenever I see her. Westlake is my home

One of the absolute worse apartments to live in several units are with out AC regardless of the residents having children or not they will take their sweet time to fix anything . Every single person in the office has a horrible attitude. I have witnessed it my self with elders and with young people . The staff have most definitely made the experience even more worse The apartments are infested with roaches they open and close the office when they would like everything that can possibly be wrong with these apartments is going on now. Definitely not a place for the elderly or for children. Plus the rent is a rip off paying nearly 600 for a 1 bedroom is ridiculous because the units are no where close to luxurious

This place is an absolute dump! I was told that when I moved in that they were going to heat up the apartment to kill any sort of bugs in the household, which was not done! Then I was told a week after that they were have an exterminator come, and I waited all day and he never came. And when I went to the office to complain I was told that they already went in, which also never happened. I have taken multiple pictures of the cockroach infestation as proof. The manager Aisha, is childish and very unprofessional. She saw me walk into my house, came and put a notice on it, and sat in her car outside my window honking until I opened the door and retrieved the letter. There is a reason rent is so cheap! These are the worst apartments to live at! There was a sewage backup and the property management refused to hire a contractor and I had to sterilize my whole floor. I had to force management to take the carpet with left over feces out! I went to a hotel for 2 days so my apartment could be taken care of, they didnt take care of the problem, when I came back there was maggots all over the floor from the feces. You have to have current registration or your car will be towed and it cost 220 to get it out! They are infested with roaches. And good luck letting management know what needs to be fixed for months I have been asking for air filters a weather strip for my door, a leaking ceiling, my bedroom other bedrooms and living room all have different flooring and this apt looks so funky! I cannot really say I liked much about this place. The management lies, they advertise a laundry room and when you see it there are no washers or dryers in the room, causing residents to wash the laundry in the tub and dry them on balconies.The cooling they have is swamp cooling, and that doesn't work half the time. Not to mention the massive cockroach infestation the place has. West ajo properties is the worst place I have ever stayed in Tucson. I really surprised the city hasn't condemned this place.
