Western Hills Apartments

Living here has been an excellent experience. It's nice and quiet (since you're at the end of a residential street) and I have views of trees out my front and back window. I consider the rent to be very reasonable, and parking isn't an issue. I have been especially impressed by the speed of the maintenance team--all of my maintenance requests were addressed promptly and I was very satisfied by the results. Since you're not too far from the Lloyd getting into downtown isn't an issue. Definitely consider renting here!

Basic apartments, affordable price for college student. Jim is the nicest landlord ever. You don’t find ones like that anymore. He was always understanding and let me out of my lease early when I graduated. Also, maintenance guy is very kind. I never had any issues and always felt safe.

The apartments are a little dated but everything is in working order. Jim is the best, he is super nice and willing to work with you! Maintenance was always fast and friendly with any requests. Great apartments for the price!

Here's what you need to know. The apartments are older, but the benefits of having included cable and internet included make up for the age of the buildings. However, the buildings are well maintained. They are located at the end of a dead end street which decreases the amount of noise. The wooded area to the west is protected land and will not be developed. To the east is a high school buffered by more trees. For less than $450 (end of 2010) these apartments are a bargain. The reasons I did not give 5 stars: Gas furnace & hot water heater (high energy bills), age of building. There are security cameras, but never once was there a safety issue in the 2 years I was there.

I lived here for a year and a half. The price is great for the quality, location, and atmosphere. I had no issue. I received a job offer out of state. The landlord worked with me to let me out of the lease early! That just doesn't happen these days.
