just now New Former tenant in 505 D. Purcell Properties in Salem IL. is the current owner. Very old appliances in these apartments. Their dryer caught on fire in 2021. The roof leaks and there is water damage in the laundry area, bathroom hallway and hall closet. All windows leak or are difficult to open, or they don't stay open. Carpet is ancient and has been soaked around the windows. Ceiling fans are loose, central heat/air doesn't work very well and windows are not insulated. The winter utility bills are sky high because of the lack of insulation and a poor seal around the front door. 505 faces the west so the sun beats down on the building in the afternoons in the summer. The bedroom is about 5-6 degrees hotter than the rest of the apartment. I would not recommend renting here.
