Virginia Square Towers

Tldr; Great location, on top of maintenance, friendly staff, clean facilities - however very thin walls. I’ve been living here for around a year and a half now and have generally had a great experience. I figure, as with most reviews, it’s generally people who have bad experiences that take the time to review so figured I’d tip the scales. CONS: Only a few of these, namely the thin walls, ceilings, and door sound insulation. At the extreme I can hear the tenant above me using (yes using, not even flushing though I hear that too) their toilet. Additionally expect to hear everything in the hallway and hear your fellow tenants as you walk down it. While the maintenance team was great, management was not. They were responsive, but often prioritized profits over people. Dittmar increased the rent significantly each year, which felt like price gouging. They also made the move-out process difficult and were not amenable to individual circumstances. It’s a pet-free building, but many residents still have pets, so pet fur often ends up in the apartment- which is unfortunate if have allergies. Additionally, sound travels easily throughout the building and the walls are very thin. The building is situated in a good location, with the train and a grocery store only about a block away.

I don’t live here, but I recently went in for a tour and Tasnim was exceptional! She went above and beyond; providing all the information, a full tour, and clear pricing with absolutely no pressure or hovering. I usually dread these tours because I often feel uncomfortable or feel like staff doesn’t give their best effort unless you’re already committed, but her customer service was truly outstanding. She was so polite! If I do end up moving here, it will be because of Tasnim.

My fiance and I have lived in our 1 bedroom apartment for 15 months and we absolutely love our unit. Our view is amazing from the 11th floor and we get lots of natural/direct light which initially sold us. The apartment features (kitchen appliances, flooring/carpet, etc.) are very nice and modern. Overall, the noise level is very good, we've never had issues with sleeping or anything like that. However, there is a tenant on our floor whose dog is constantly barking. First of all, having pets is against the lease and management absolutely ignores this rule (it seems like half the building has a dog). Secondly, when we complained multiple times about the noise we never got any response at all. Also, there was someone on our floor who smoked weed multiple times a week and we could smell it fr

A great place to live, location, amenities, metro accessible, security around the clock, and nice front desk staff who always help and understand. I never hear anybody through the walls or see any mice or bugs of any kind thankfully. Work orders get taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. The building is very modern and they’re always doing HAVC checks which is nice. No complaints from living here for 3 years.
