Village at Desert Lakes

I moved in less then a week ago, When I came to tour the apartment, I was informed that some units had a $1,000 discount for moving in, and other units had one month free rent. After I applied, paid all the fees, and was approved, I was informed that the supposed promotion had already ended at the time of my application. I spoke with three people, and they all said they couldn't do anything about it. Also they gave me a paper saying “NO SURPRISE” $500 deposit and for me they charged one full month as a deposit. After I moved in, on the first night, I arrived after 6 pm and the gates were already closed. I entered the password that had been registered, but it wasn't working. Someone who was supposed to register the password hadn't done so. I had no way to contact anyone to help me get into

I loved it here, we just moved in here and angel the maintenance guy helped us out right away with anything we needed. He was very nice and knew his knowledge! I called twice and he came both times and didn’t feel bothered or nothing. The front desk people are nice also, they are very very busy, but keep things running very well! If it’s in their power they will help you. Great decision to move in.

Living at this apartment complex was one of the worst housing experiences I’ve ever had—and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, especially families. Moving in was an absolute nightmare. The unit was filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned at all before I arrived. I had to call the manager, Jared, who admitted it hadn’t been cleaned and had to send someone out after I had already moved in. The kitchen cabinet was hanging off the wall, the carpet was not properly installed, underneath kitchen sink there was holes and areas that clearly weren’t fixed to begin with. There was literally oil drippings and old food stuck to the wall and live / dead roaches all in the dishwasher and behind the stove .On top of that, the apartment was infested with roaches. The experience was exceptional!!! I learned so much,, what the reasons where and how to fix it! Angel did such a great job; I had four tasks and it didn’t even take him 15minutes to get them all done! Everything works great now!!!!!

Been living here for a few months now, the community is very well kept and presentable. I’ve had no issues so far. Neighbors are nice and friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
