Viera Builders - Laurasia

Our home is 3 years old and we have had six roof leaks which is completely unacceptable on a new home. The warranty process is a joke. They will tell you at closing that all of your items will be addressed within the warranty period however the warranty department will try their best to avoid fixing anything or will do the bare minimum. The name of their game is to delay and avoid repairs so that the homeowner gives up out of frustration. I would never recommend this builder or these homes. We considered building in Laurasia but with all of the headaches on our new build I would seek out a custom builder if we were ever to build again.

Viera does a good job during the sales, design, and build process. Our sale person Ian was truly amazing. But their warranty process is really frustrating and unfortunately falls heavily on the owners. I’ve had to take a substantial amount of time off from work just to support their contractors rework the issues multiple times. This is my 2nd and probably last Viera Builders home and the 2 yr warranty period sounds great, but this builder just doesn’t staff the warranty dept to support the quantity of homes they build to over those 2 yrs.

The absolute worst experience building a house. We have had nothing but problems during and after and truly everyone we have worked with has been insanely incompetent and awful. Warrenty has been PAINSTAKING!!!! One small problem gets fixed and a bigger one gets created, the warrenty team is awful to deal with and beyond incompetent. They close tickets, cancel, don’t respond, and no show daily. Do yourself a favor and avoid the stress, frustration and un satisfaction.

This was our second time building a home with Viera Builders, and I must say it will be our last. The only positive was our salesman Ian, aside from him, it has been a very stressful and unpleasant experience. We moved in with a long list of non conformances at closing that took nearly 9 months to complete. I really cannot express how disappointed we are. We have had to fight for nearly everything that required repair through warranty. We have built 5 houses, and this has been our worst experience by far. I would not recommend.

Overall a positive experience with Viera Builders. When there are problems, they address them and stand behind their work. Ian Scalia did an outstanding job supporting the sale process and continues to be a great resource.
