Vertical East Apartments

I wish I could give them zero stars. Stay far away from them. Infact I will literally help you look elsewhere just to save people from being lied to like we were!! We put in an application paid the app fee paid the admin fee paid all their stupid fees. Well 1 week goes by no word. 2nd week goes by no word, finally after week three we said ok due to your LACK of communication we will need to move forward else where. Well on a RECORDED conversation with my husband (gotta cover your bases now a days ) they said they would refund us the admin fee but the app fee is not refundable. Fine. Whatever. Well thy said it would take about 3-5 business days well SUPRISE we are past that. Anyway I found a BEAUTIFUL condo for LESS. So no refund when promised is called A SCAMMMMMM

There is new management an they are very helpful and cleaning up the community. It looks great and they are very responsive to work orders.

Management turnover. Maintenance turnover. Slow and ineffective maintenance. COCKROACHES. Vehicle (parking lot) damage. Unsupervised children running rampant. Trash all over the parking lot. Discarded appliances, broken glass, and dirty mattresses found on the property at a regular rate of gross inconvenience. Very stressful environment with no clear path to positive direction in sight. I really wish I had done more research before investing my time and money here at Vertical East.

I had a frustrating experience with the previous leasing agent, Brittany, who was terrible at communicating. It took her several months to provide me with a new mailbox key, to the point where I stopped reaching out altogether. The new leasing agent, Kim, has come in with determination and a strong effort to improve the community which I have seen changes with 30 days but while her dedication is appreciated, the new rental increases are simply not justified given the quality of the apartments. Fluctuating charges and a washer that can barely fit more than one towel make the higher prices feel unreasonable.

I’ve been trying to get In touch with the property owners for about 2 weeks now as they’ve changed management companies about 3 times now since 2023 and have made no progress in reaching them. I’m being charged for usage there after moving everything out for the person whom used to live there. And the only way is for the owners to assume responsibility. I’ve been calling the office and no answer. I need someone to reach out to me asap. As I’m facing disconnection of service. Update: I called The electric company again and they as well requested that the current management company being North Star needs to go on to their (vertical east) tep account and take responsibility for the months I’m being charged for where the unit was vacant.
