Velocity

Velocity is a modern living area with great amenities the maintenance personnel are amazing they are very knowledgeable. The apartments are up to date and are very modern and nice. All in all a great place to live

Love this building! I have a studio, and I really enjoy the layout and the kitchen is really big and designed really well. I also really like the modern feel with the fresh cabinets and exposed ductwork. The in-unit washer dryer is amazing, and there is so much storage. The building management is so helpful and friendly, and there is a lot more of a neighborly feeling than many other places I have lived. Amenities include gym, yoga room, club room, rooftop with grills, pool, in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, bike storage and the building is pet-friendly!

Great location, amenities, and staff. I think I looked at just about every apartment building in Des Moines, and Velocity was one of the only ones that had something that looked like it was thoughtfully designed, and not just another cookie-cutter apartment. My friends and family always comment on my apartment, the high ceilings, huge windows, and garage access make it feel as though you get the benefits of a house with the amenities of an apartment. The staff has always been responsive and attentive, I haven't had any issues with the apartment itself, but whenever I have a question, they are quick to answer it. Tabatha, specifically, always goes above and beyond and is incredibly helpful. I rarely write reviews, but now that I'm on year two of living here, I can confidently say I'd live

I recently moved out, but I must say that I had an amazing experience living at Velocity. The office staff, Peggy and Tianna, were very helpful and caring. They were always available to quickly resolve any issues that I had. The maintenance staff were also great at keeping the grounds and units well-maintained and were quick to fix any problems. The amenities offered to tenants, including the pool, dog park, game rooms, fitness center, yoga room, rooftop patio, and grill, were all fantastic. Additionally, I had very friendly neighbors, and the neighborhood was great. The river walk was also just a block away, which was very convenient. I highly recommend living at Velocity if you plan on moving to the East Village.

I lived in building 225 (better than the other one imo) with my young kiddos. Great place overall. Very quiet and a lot of amenities. Location is great for walking and also away from the train in downtown. Leslie (especially) and the rest of the staff are very nice and helpful. -mohammad
