You better hope you don't have a family emergency, like your father getting diagnosed with a dire illness three days before your stay at one of Valta Realty's properties! While they did agree on a small (less than half) refund, after sending them an email with my shock at their lack of empathy, Valta's initial reply, and insistence on upholding the refund policy in the face of a true medical emergency, is pretty disgusting. It seems their lack of compassion has been noted previously by another guest who went through something similar. "But, but, the refund policy!" In 2025, callously prioritizing money over being human, is a bad, bad look. May you get the happiness you deserve in this new year.
