Uno on Chestnut

The first-floor public restroom is locked, which is very inconvenient. When I showed the apartment to a friend who was considering renting here, she had nowhere to use the restroom. Even residents have to go back upstairs just to wash their hands, which makes the building feel less welcoming.

Took them months to fix a washer a year ago. I had a leak in my unit (Top floor) for 10-11 months. They would only paint over it several times. Finally the leak broke through and it been over a month and they still didn't repair it. Its above my bed so I woke up to water dripping on me. I got messages several times saying people would come fix it and it never gets repaired. Other neighbors have also had problems with maintenance not fixing things in a timely manner. Its definitely a health hazard and my apartment is crammed since I had to move stuff from my room under the leak.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS RESIDENCE. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. Nothing in this building works: my toilet has been flooded for 5 days and technician lied about fixing it, not even the trash chute works. There are always homeless weed smokers outside and management refuses to do anything about it, even after my explicit request. THIS IS A HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Reception only operates Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, so are literally unreachable if you have a job or study.

I lived in this apartment for 3.5 years and overall had a positive experience. It’s a relatively decent option near the Penn campus. The building is well-maintained and kept clean. The gym and rooftop are nice. I never had issues with lost packages, and I successfully received my security deposit upon moving out. That said, there were a few drawbacks: - Since the leasing office at 4125 Chestnut was permanently closed, FedEx was unable to deliver directly to the building. I had to pick up packages manually from the FedEx facility. - When I signed the lease, I paid a prorated amount for the partial first month, essentially covering about 1.5 months of rent. However, when my lease ended mid-month, there was no option to pay a prorated amount for the final month—I was required to pay the fu

There is a red-haired woman in charge of the trash, and her attitude is extremely rude. Every time, she specifically targets us, saying that we cannot put the first-floor trash next to the cardboard boxes, and we also cannot use the trash bins nearby. Then may I ask—are we supposed to just throw the garbage on the ground instead of into a trash bin? On top of that, maintenance is very slow. It has been over a month and the issue is still not fixed—now they have simply stopped repairing it. The room is also very noisy. I sincerely request that proper management be put in place for these services. 😠
