You're honestly better off staying at Casas del Rio or Lobo Village. UNM housing seems far more focused on profit than on the well-being of its students. Social media posts on Instagram and Reddit give great insight from residents who’ve had serious issues—like being denied the right keys, experiencing violent incidents, and then being refused refunds, after traumatic fatal shootings all around the property. If you’re into cramped, dirty living spaces, poor parking options, and ventilation systems that constantly reek of weed, then maybe this place is for you. This place feels like prison, it does not prepare you for life. Security is another major concern, the front doors are often left unlocked so random strangers have easy access. On top of all that, a hidden application fee upwards of

Any problems that we have had, the staff here has been more than willing to listen and handle for us, and the price of living here, for a student, is quite reasonable. Being a grad student, I need a quiet place to live and study, and this complex provides that. some of the Planters need some Greenery in them, but I did not select this place because I wanted some place that had well manicured lawns and shrubberies. They take care of all of the utilities, including internet and a few cable channels in standard definition, and the rooms are quite spacious. My wife and I are quite satisfied.

The new coordinator Becki is the worst I have ever seen. She did not support us to move out. Her attitude was very rude. If you did not clean your apartment very well, she will charge you a lot with some minor issues. She took the pictures in your apartment and calculated the charge in her office. She did not give you any feedback or chance to fix any minor issues before leaving your apartment. We were shocked since we were charged $640 including $150 late fee, $150 for painting kitchen walls, $75 for water in refrigerator, 50 for stoves, $200 for tapes at the corners of living room and bath tubes. We used tapes to prevent cockroaches. We requested two more hours but we were still charged the late fee. What does this mean? We lived there more than 4 years and moved in and out from apartmen

I visit my friends here. It's a family friendly housing complex. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen doesn't have a dishwasher. There's no covered parking but I believe there aren't assigned parking spots. The environment is clean and tidy. This is a gated community.

Dear upper classmen students, we unfortunately admitted too many freshmen and did not listen to our own policy on freshman housing. We also did not think to look at the number of students registering for their rooms back in March or even a month ago. Therefore any room that you pay thousands or hundreds of dollars extra for (single rooms) is meaningless. You will now have a roommate in your room at the start of your semester (which is less than a month away). We will also be putting any student who has not registered for housing yet due to academic holds the student has no control over on a wait-list and hope for the best. We will still be charging at lowest $5,000 a year for a 10×12 room. Sincerely a school who fights food and housing insecurity. Thanks UNM for not getting better, think a
