On my search, UHMC offered a few things other rentals in the neighborhood didn't: they cover the water bill (which can be a big headache to deal with otherwise), they were thoughtful about installing laundry on-site as well as in their core neighborhood, and they turned the apartment over clean and freshly painted. The rent might be slightly higher but the apartment is twice as nice as places I toured even on the exact same block. And they seem to take genuine pride in showing up quickly (sometimes within minutes) for even minor maintenance that other landlords might take days, weeks, or months to deal with. They replaced a missing city recycling can immediately at their own expense and a failing fridge within a couple of hours. I feel like I am getting what I am paying for instead of just

I was a tenant with them for 3 years and had a great experience. Over my 10+ years of renting, UHMC is easily the most attentive and easy to work with management company. Very prompt to address any questions, concerns, or issues and made every effort to make you feel at home. If I did not have to relocate out of the area because of work, I would definitely still be renting from them.

This management company has been indispensable to me while I lived in Baltimore. They helped me find housing, helped with maintenance issues, and gave home management advice. I really appreciated living in their unit which was miraculously in my price range. It was a great first rental experience. They even helped correct a mistake I made when I asked for help months after moving. Highly professional, friendly, family-owned business. No problem with my security deposit refund when I moved also.

We rented with UHMC for two years and they were awesome. The apartment we got was in great shape and when we did need maintenance they were very responsive (within 24 hours and usually within 6, even for small issues). Their prices are fair to favorable and they let us renew our lease for a shorter timeframe at our old rate when we knew we would have to move soon (which, unfortunately, many places won't do). They are super flexible with pets. In our apartment the parking spaces were small but some of the least expensive in Baltimore. Most importantly, they returned our security deposit in full since we took care of our place. Highly recommend -- they clearly care about being fair and kind and doing the right thing. If we were renting again, we would only rent from them.

Rented from UHMC for 2 years. They have been the most attentive, responsive, understanding landlords I have ever had. A construction project turned to a several months long event (COVID related delays), they ensured that they not only provided me compensation but went above and beyond to accommodate my need to vacate early. Kim will always respond by email same-day and is always available by phone. The unit was beautiful and well priced and fully up to date. I will truly miss that apartment and renting from UHMC!! If you want an exceptional renting experience, rent from these guys, you won’t be disappointed :)
