University Gateway

University Gateway is an amazing off campus housing option.It is just steps away from campus and is surrounded by a CVS and many places to eat. My son lived in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and had a great experience. The apartments are spacious and modern and the complex has many nice amenities like the pool area and gym. The General Manager Gavin Graham is professional, responsive and personable. It is clear that he leads with customer service in mind as he has assembled a wonderful team of largely students who are polite and knowledgable. From our initial inquiry and virtual tour with Danielle and Ashley to later interactions after move in with Ariyah, Gavin and Mckenzie everyone clearly strives to meet your needs and make your interactions a positive experience. I would definitely recommend

I came to drop off an Uber eats order and was directed by the most helpful, engaging, precocious, amicable young man I’ve met. He was the security guard for the night shift. I believe his name was Drew. He gave me some great advice about the area and some lifelong advice. I will keep near and dear to me they couldn’t have asked for a better guy.

I ranked University Gateway #1 after touring 5 apartment complexes near USC. Key decision factors were rent, security, location, plentiful amenities, and parking. Directly across from the USC campus and a short walk to USC Village. We returned the same day with our graduate student son to rent. University Gateway was a great decision. Gavin Graham, General Manager, and his team are incredible. They run 8 floors of USC freshman housing and student/graduate student apartments. They are reachable and highly responsive, displaying a caring and actionable approach. A special shout out to McKenzie, our fantastic leasing agent. There is a reason why they are 100% rented for the semester.

To be frank, living in this building has become a chronic inconvenience. Whether it’s the Wi-Fi randomly shutting off for several days in a row during midterms, having literally no phone service at any time, constant false-alarm evacuations, or the weekly elevator closures with no accessible stairways, basic functionality in the building is unreliable. On top of that, it often feels like I need to submit multiple service requests just to get through a normal week. For example, just last week water from the unit above ours was flowing directly through our electrical breaker. That is an obvious and serious safety hazard. The property is very big with a lot to offer, Ariyah squeezed me and my son in for a tour on Saturday at 3:45 which was very kind of her given they close at 4pm. She was very knowledgeable of the rates and the surrounding areas giving me a little peace of mind. Can’t wait to go forward with the leasing process
