Twin Oaks Crossing Apartments

Nice property with pretty responsive maintenance. Mike the property manager was very helpful. Older buildings so heat is via radiator (and no AC) and there were issues with the boilers a few times. Cute decorations outside for each of the holidays. Very very dog friendly, comes with pros and cons. Love the Highland Square neighborhood.

I lived in two of the three buildings at Twin Oaks for the last ~7 years - under the previous ownership and current. Since the new ownership & Mike Whaley took over things have been notably better. The buildings are old and face the problems associated with that, but they're well handled. Laundry facilities were also modernized & renovated, maintenance was quick, thorough, and respectful. All around I've enjoyed my time here.

I just spent a year in this apt complex, it is very safe, quiet and extremely pet friendly. The building is about 100 years old so it has tons of character, parking is never an issue and the grounds are kept in a beautiful state with seasonal displays and an abundance of seasonal plantings. Overall a great place to stay if you wish to be close to Downtown Akron.....and avoid the issues of Downtown Akron. It is within easy walking distance to Market street and the great bars and restaurants there. *plus....if you play golf....a two minute stroll for T time!!

This is the worst apartment complex I've ever seen in my entire life. The house itself had orine odor that randomly appeared in one room, the ceiling had continuous leaks and they refused to fix it from January till March. This caused the ceiling to collapse and made the apartment unlivable for over a month. Management is extremely bad, charging you incredible amounts of money out of the blue regarding policies that are NOT in the contract but in a "welcome letter" that I never got. Some neighbors are incredibly sensitive to noise at 6 pm but by 11 pm they are outside revving their car engines trying to fix something and the management doesn't move a finger. Please avoid this place at all costs, they will not only look for an excuse to keep all your deposit but also not make your stay acce
