This is not a company you want to rent from. They lie to you, refuse to answer or return calls. They don't even respond to emails neither. We been here for almost a month and we still do not have a stove nor microwave. The stove is full of mold & mildew, the microwave is nasty as hell and broken. This place is full of mold from the water that soaked up half of the entire resident from the A/C. Since we to Baton Rouge in 2023, we have experience the worse landlords and realtor companies ever in our entire lives. TOM MACKEY REAL ESTATE SERVICE is by far the worst of them all. Please read the reviews before signing a lease with this real estate service. This is the stove and microwave they refuse to replace.

Truly a terrible property maintenance company. The roof has been needing to be replaced for years now, I've had constant issues with roof leaks and pieces missing from fascia, causing water damage in my apartment. I've submitted numerous maintenance requests. One time, they came out 3 months later and told me the leaks from the roof were my fault for having pavers in the garage??? I have spent thousands remediating water damage from their negligence. Additionally, the HOA fees used to be $133, they raised it to $250 a month to cover the "eventual roof repair" in 2023, which still hasnt happened, and we are all suffering the consequences from. I can't wait to sell this place and never work with these people again.

I should have checked the 2.1 rating first because it is spot on. I just moved to Baton Rouge and was staying at an Airbnb next door. The roofers showed up at my place with no notice so I called the number on the Tom Mackey sign next door to ask if I could park there for a few days. Tom actually called me back and told me it was no problem at all since the complex wasn't full. I thought he was a great guy and was even planning on renting from him long-term because he seemed so helpful. I was wrong. Even though I had permission and left a note on my dashboard, I woke up to a threat on my windshield saying I’d be towed. Then a man from the office came out waving his arms and yelling at me. He straight up called me a liar and told me "don't be lying on the owner, you didn't talk to him." I l

possibly the worst property management company in the state, if not the entire south. when our house flooded from an uncleared drain line (only 2 weeks after moving in) we couldn’t get ahold of anyone in the main office or after hours line. it is the management company’s responsibility to fully service the property between tenants, their blatant negligence ruined irreplaceable antique furniture and sentimental pieces as well. it took almost another month to completely service it and required them to wreck our backyard in the process. the landlord/owner of the property was the only saving grace in all of this mess because he happened to live nearby and care. if you are a landlord, do NOT hire this scummy company to manage your properties.

Just got off the phone with Tom Mackey - very RUDE, unprofessional, tried to be condescending and did I mention very, very RUDE!!!! This was a follow-up call after multiple unanswered emails and calls regarding the refund of our deposit. We vacated the property in June and here we are 5 months later – no refund. I’m so glad GOD blessed us to purchase our OWN home!!!!! Sadly, ZERO stars is not an option...
