Timbers Apartments

I lived at Timbers for 13 months in a 2 bedroom 2 bath. During this time I experienced constant maintenance issues that were not addressed in a timely manner nor fixed to expectations. Here is a list of the many issues I had. 1. Garage door was broken for 4 months before fixed. It was broken when I moved in and I had to ask several times to get it fixed. 2. No hot water for 2 weeks as the hot water pump on the boiler broke. There was NO urgency to fix the issue from my perspective. 3. A/C unit in my apartment leaked, as well as the unit above my apartment. I reported asap when it started on a Saturday afternoon and maintenance did not look at it until that Monday. The issue took 2 weeks to fully fix. The water damage to the walls was never fixed. Mold could be smelled when the AC came on

Unless you ABSOLUTELY need somewhere to live I would avoid. Rents goes up despite all the building falling apart in every aspect imaginable and the property being run down. Mold issues, ceiling leaks, washers/dryers always broke in the apartment. If you use the community one in the building they charge you 4$ just to wash and dry one load of laundry only to find out that breaks just often as the one they put in everyone’s apartment. Everything’s done cheap….Cheap fix’s for all problems that break months later. I’m convinced my “new” washer/dryer was just bought “used” on Craigslist. Maintenance was a burden and management was two faced. This is NOT the place you want to live. Yes they are the cheapest You get what u pay for. Bed bugs. The hot water was off for 5 weeks. Our ac has been broken for 2 months It’s almost June and still not fixed. They don’t give u 24 hour notice before coming into the apartment they won’t do pest control The water was leaking to downstairs they didn’t fix it till the next day. Everything that I’m telling you happen within three months. If you want to take your chances, be my guesst but I promise you you won’t be living there that long. They don’t plow after it snows The list goes on and on The only thing that’s a plus is that they won’t throw u out if ur running late with rent. But ur better off sleeping in ur car. Management has refused to fix a leak for a tenant resulting in substantial mold spore growth. Failure to plow lots results in a number of slips, trips and falls thus failing to protect their tenants from risk of injury. Failure to plow lots also results in tenants being snowed in completely. Management continues to charge for detached garages when the doors do not work, leaving vehicles and valuables subject to theft and the elements. Management will not permanently repair entry doors, allowing anyone to enter the common areas of the buildings. Little to no security. In an emergency, maintenance cannot be reached for days or sometimes weeks at a time. If you are shopping for an affordable apartment, please keep looking. So my one year lease ended a month ago. All in all, my stay at Timbers was fine. I would have done another year if my roommate hadn't been leaving. There's air conditioning and heating in the units, we couldn't hear a peep from the neighbors (lived on 3rd floor), and although the outside of the building is a bit sketchy our unit itself was very clean. A lot of reviews say there are bugs and mold.. two things we didn't encounter at all. I will say that the parking here is pretty bad, especially in winter when Broadview Heights gets buried in snow. There just aren't enough spots for the number of tenants, and plowing was scarce. I loved the hardwood floors and high ceilings our unit had, we never had any problems with neighbors or anything.
