Tierra Vista Apartments

I have been here almost 2 years, i will say it has its pros and cons. Parking is horrible, homeless people are still a problem, and security can be increased throughout the day instead of just at night. I will say that the maintenance department is good. Whenever we have had an issue they have been there in a timely manner to fix the issue. Also they do a good job keeping the area clean. Especially the gym. Mr. Salvino does a great job keeping it swept, mopped, and tidy. He takes pride in his work and should be recognized.

Living here has become increasingly frustrating. Management shows very little care for the condition of the property — everything feels neglected and messy. Despite this, they raised our rent by almost $200, yet nothing has improved. A major issue is the amount of large trash items left around the complex. It’s not just small litter — it’s furniture, mattresses, and other big items that sit there for days. People who don’t live here frequently come onto the property, leave their belongings, and dump trash, and residents end up paying the price for it. There are also ongoing safety and cleanliness concerns. Homeless individuals often enter the pool area to bathe, and some sleep in the hallways. While their situation is heartbreaking, it’s clear that management is not providing any securit

I did not live here very long since I am active duty military, but my stay was very pleasant. The apartments are very clean, and the management at Tierra vista was a HUGE help during my move in/out process, specifically Petra. She was very understanding of my circumstances and situation, she resolved a very stressful payment issue for me immediately and demonstrated amazing professionalism and customer service. I enjoyed my stay @ Tierra vista, but certain things to keep in mind if you are moving to this complex is -visitor parking is very scarce -there’s a waiting list to get a garage Other than that, Tierra vista was a good choice for my short stay in Oxnard, CA. I am giving five star rating for the service I received from Holly Barton! My fiancé and I do not live here, but we had tour this location. I’ve had a great experience working with Holly Barton | Essex Sales Specialist. She’s been incredibly helpful, consistently keeping me updated on the units I’m interested in. She’s friendly, professional, and always well-prepared. I really appreciate her dedication and communication throughout the process!

I’ve lived at Tierra Vista for two years. I’ve lived in an Essex property for more than 5 years. The maintenance people are hard working folks and so are some of the managers. My experience at Tierra Vista has been a nightmare. My downstairs neighbor regularly harassed me by calling me names, pounding on my floor in the middle of the night, and throwing meat on my balcony to my dog. Tierra Vista did nothing to stop this behavior. In fact, that neighbor accused me of “ratting him out” when I informed management about the meat incident. He then told me I’d be moving out of the unit just like the previous tenants had. They also left due to the behavior. I did move to another unit, took the burden of paying a new deposit, etc. Then was charged for moving out fees that were vaguely described.
