If you’re looking for affordable housing with pet-friendly policies and onsite laundry, this place can fit the bill. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the benefits. Management is inconsistent, communication is poor, and new rules appear mid-lease—often contradicting what was promised in writing before moving in. We were told certain amenities and policies were included, only to later find out they cost extra or changed without warning. Maintenance and renovations are done as cheaply as possible, often by questionable contractors. Fixtures and appliances are the lowest quality and prone to breaking. Repairs are messy—no drop cloths, paint flecks and plaster left behind, and trash from workers left for residents to deal with. When the buildings were repainted in 2024, no primer was

DO NOT RENT HERE AT ALL !!!!!!!! Been here 1 year well November 1st will make 1 year mark. Starting with the apartment tour there were things that needed to be fixed maintenance stated it will be all fixed by the day of moving in…. Move in day came nothing was fixed and the tour paperwork was signed off as it was fixed LOL … first problem started off as my apartment for flooded entire living room filled with water. Water was leaking through the sliding doors I called maintenance told him about it and no one came to check I went the entire weekend with an apartment that was leaking water for 3 days I was cleaning up water and putting buckets around to catch what I can…… weeks went by still wasn’t fixed …. The entire kitchen started to also have a bad smell coming from the pipes under sink

I am to the point where the review will be absolutely awful. Do get anything done you have to call the Phillipines to customer call center which poses a communication problem and time delay. Ownership wants to charge premium rent prices for an old and shabby building. Ownership apparently unwilling to properly rehab apartments properly..as stated below I have kitchen cabinets that dont match. Please review all the issues I've had in the 6.5 weeks of living in this building. To be fair some of the issues have been resolved. New fridge. Electrical problems resolved and water leaks addressed. However having all these issues aren't common for a.move in by my experience. 1. Water leaks multiple times 2. Fridge needing replaced 3. Based on my 9 months stay in Thurber Apartments and lease ending experience not recommended especially family with kids. Pros Very accessible to bus stop. Maintenance was responsive. Cons. The building is very old and needed full renovation. There was water leaking/seepage from walls, windows and wardrobes. I was told by their management the apartments require a full overall maintenance. There were broken valves of heating system in roof and stinky water has been dripping in a bucket for months in my apartment. Svere mold issues both in windows and outer walls. Very cheap and poor material was used in kitchen and bathrooms. That breaks very easily and require very frequent maintenance. There were rat holes in the apartment and they make noise at night. Love the place! I think they offer one of the most comfortable apartments in Syracuse. If you have time, might as well inquire or see for yourself the apartment for rents they offer. Still into the good management they have, I appreciate their patience and time for giving me choices and letting me know what are the bests in their property. Thanks! 👍
