THISTLE Apartments

“I had a tour appointment at Thistle Apartment at 3:00 PM, but no one showed up. I waited for a while, and eventually I had to move on to tour a different apartment. It was a bit disappointing, and the place didn’t seem very appealing from what I could see.”

I moved into this apartment complex in June 2020, and stayed here for a year. To summarize everything before getting into a detailed breakdown: This place isn't worth it. The company running this facility will try to nickle and dime you for everything imaginable from paying for trash service you don't use to water through some magical estimate. The management will try their best to rip you off of your deposit and has 0 communication skills. The building itself is basically a run down shack with a new coat of paint and appliances installed, but you can't hide the structural issues like water pipes leaking all over the garage, and walls creaking and cracking constantly like the place is about to collapse. I lived here for two years and have NO COMPLAINTS! I had two building managers while living at Thistle (Catherine and Tiffinie). Both were such dedicated managers, always so friendly and helpful whenever I needed support/assistance, and extremely understanding. The building was ALWAYS so clean/tidy and quiet. The managers often put out treats for the residents and pets which was always a nice surprise. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!! :)

Catherine (manager) and Herbert (maintenance) have been so helpful during the time I have lived in this apartment complex. I will be moving out soon but I can say that I will truly miss this place. I love how close it is to downtown as well because Im able to walk my dog every morning. I really also love how the apartment complex is always kept up. I can truly say I read reviews before renting here and people commented about having rats and other things in their apartment but that is not true. I have never seen anything like that in my apartment and I am glad I went against the reviews. The reviews are not exactly true on here the negative ones because this place is one of the best apartments I have lived in. Ignore the reviews and try renting here because it is nothing but great. I lived in a studio at Thistle this past year and loved it! The location, while not the most neighborhood-y, is safe & super close to the freeway. The apartments are clean and updated (great appliances, nothing ever breaks!). Moreover, Cat and Herbert are helpful, kind and responsive. The common areas of the apartment are sunny and clean and have cute new outdoor furniture. Loved living here and would heavily recommend to anyone in Pasadena! Covered parking & easy guest parking are added perks!
