Third Federal Savings & Loan

I cannot recommend this bank branch in Medina based on my recent experience. From the beginning, my attempts to provide important information and ask questions multiple times were dismissed. Had the staff member listened and reviewed the information I had when I first sat down with them, the issue could have been resolved quickly. Instead, the process took approximately two and a half hours, and I left without resolution. The account specialist appeared unfamiliar with the specifics on the account closure process, and they spent over an hour on the phone with someone else seeking step by step guidance. My mom has ALZ and opened an account here. I was terrified that she was scammed for her money. The team at Third Federal Savings & Loans was able to help me secure her funds to ensure her life savings is not compromised. I am forever thankful to their compassion and care for their customers. I would highly recommend working with this branch, and this team of amazing humans. I would give them 10-stars if I could.

Do not go here. Staff is friendly but it is very clear they are confused. They do their best but often fail miserably. The mortgage officer, Karen, is quite lost. They did their best but accomplished absolutely nothing. Waste of time.

I worked with Charlotte in the Medina branch for a home loan on a new purchase and she was absolutely wonderful. She really had an eye for detail and would contact me immediately with any questions on paperwork throughout the process. From the first time we spoke, I knew I was in good hands and that this deal would close on time. I will no doubt be recommending Third Federal going forward. Their rates were great, the closing costs were decent, and their service was really excellent!

Be weary when applying for any type of mortgage or home equity product! I was misled and not given all of the information up front. And when I informed the loan officer that the appraisal was incorrect (did not include information that was on the county auditor website), I was told I could pay $500 out of my own pocket to have it re-done. This was a very poor experience and I hope noone else goes through this experience when applying for a loan.
