Living at the Zoe for the past 3 months has been an incredible experience that continues to exceed my expectations. While the ongoing lobby renovations have brought some temporary inconvenience, it's clear that the updates will make an already stunning building even more impressive. What truly sets The Zoe apart, however, is the staff. Alyssa, Ashley, Nicole, India, and every team member I've interacted with have gone above and beyond to minimize any disruption. They've kept us well informed with regular renovation updates and have even been personally delivering packages, dry cleaning, and food orders when requested ~ a level of attentiveness that's genuinely rare. Our daughter recently relocated from the Midwest to the DC area for a job and decided on The Zoe for her new home. Taking care of everything online and sight unseen can be a bit daunting, but the staff made it a seamless and easy process. We were welcomed on move in day by extremely friendly and professional staff, given a full tour and use of loading dock and freight elevator. The building is absolutely gorgeous with fantastic amenities. The location is lovely with many restaurants, bars, shopping and outdoor activities within easy walking distance. Every member of the staff has been warm, welcoming and so helpful. There is poor communication between management and residents. While the staff is friendly and the unit is nice, issues are rarely resolved. We were not informed that our parking is a 10-minute walk away, at least and not easy to find a parking, even though there are many empty parking spots directly under the building that are not made available—despite paying nearly $3,000 in rent. On top of that, we are charged over $200 per month for common area utilities, plus our own electricity and internet. The property is constantly under construction and does not feel resident-focused.

We moved in a couple months ago and wow really sorry we did. Nothing works! Automatic doors don’t work, only 1-2 elevators work at a time (we have 4) the building’s lobby doorbell platform to let guests call up never worked, the automatic trash & recycling chutes, always broken. What people have said about the constant construction is unfortunately true. Whether it’s from the neighboring apartment Valen that’s also managed by JBG or on the roads that 2 side roads that lead to the building, it’s always something. Additionally there’s a dumpster that just sits outside. It’s unsightly but also inconvenient if you’re trying to get into the garage and construction vehicles are parked on the side (which is always the case). Spent 12 great months at The Zoe. Well-run, brand-new building, excellent value for the price, and consistently smooth living. The staff is world-class and genuinely cares. Leaving with great memories and a lot of respect for how this place is run.
