I have bought and sold over 12 homes in my lifetime, 3 in Florida, and this was by far the worst experience I have ever encountered. Lessons to be learned: * If buying in a 55+ community, never use a RE agent who lives in that community. Chances are they are emotionally tied to the Sellers and he/she ends up giving you guidance that is in the best interest of the Seller, not you. * Never use an inspector who is recommended by the RE agent. (My fault. I asked for a recommendation.) Examples: 1) Inspector said one sprinkler head needed attention. Ten heads later and $400, sprinkler system was fixed. 2) Inspector said ceiling lights/fans were fine. Within one month had to replace 2 fans and the third one only runs on 2 speeds. 3) Said the dryer worked fine. The dryer vent was so full of lint

I cannot say enough about BJ and Ron Viola of Foxfire Realty! Selling our Port St Lucie home was a nightmare during Covid. Closing delayed FIVE times caused us to lose the home WE contracted to buy in OTOW Central. I was heartbroken, but BJ kept telling me everything happens for a reason. We picked another home to purchase in Indigo East, and BJ was there to help throughout. Ron and BJ helped us with the mortgage process, giving us First Federal Bank where we got a great rate on a fixed mortgage. She also helped us find an insurance agent, Tim Bascom agency where Katie helped us find an appropriate policy. Now we have been in our new forever home for 6 months, and I LOVE everything about this home! This is the PERFECT home for us, we love the area as well as the community. BJ and R
