The Vine Apartments

The Vine has met all of our needs. It's important to note that regardless of the apartment and complex quality, the overall experience depends a great deal on the property manager and we're fortunate to have Kelli Pettry as ours. She's knowledgeable, responsive and empathetic. She also goes above and beyond creating events and activities for everyone living at The Vine. I've seen some less stellar reviews and opine that they are more the result of decisions made by the owner's upper management than by the property manager.

The area is semi quiet. Haven’t had any issues with my neighbors. Appliances are new and maintenance answers within a week. Parking is good- always have a spot I can park. The cost is higher than comparable properties nearby, but you get what you pay for. Property manager Kelli is very communicative, sweet and personable with her tenants, and answers emails fast and enforces rules in a professional manner.

My experience at The Vine has been miserable due to ongoing noise from the unit above me. I reported it months ago, and management did speak with the residents, but the situation never improved — if anything, it has gotten worse. There is constant pounding, running, sliding furniture, and workout-type activity from 6am until midnight or so. It has consistently disrupted my sleep, my ability to work and do school, and any sense of comfort in my own space. The property also has a few consistent issues: the single trash compactor is often out of service due to residents placing cardboard inside them (we're expected to drive cardboard to an offsite facility), the one elevator in my building goes down fairly regularly (though usually repaired quickly), and parking is extremely uneven. The vine has been a great place to live for me. The walls have great noice cancellation as I can't even hear my neighbors and they can't hear me. The insulation works well. The windows don't open but I just open the door for a cool breeze. Everything works as it is suppost to. The people are all nice and solutions to problems are found rapidly. They are very fair and quick to make repairs and improvement. I have had a great experience.

Other than the slight inconvenience of having to take cardboard offsite, (which isn't a huge deal to me personally) it's great. A lot of people find the single trash compactor a con but it's only ever a problem when people don't listen to the direct instruction of not putting cardboard inside. I prefer the compactor to several dumpsters getting slammed in the morning or the crowding that happens when everyone is trying to leave but there's a garbage truck in the way. The complex is set up pretty well, they are still doing things being that it hasn't been around for long. Kelli for being one person is doing a great job, I even saw her salting the walk ways prior to the snow. The Vine has given me a great environment to raise my child and I definitely feel safe.
