The Towers

I remember in the 80s as a young white kid, visiting a friend I met in school. We were all color blind at that age. His gf made us sandwiches. We left them in the kitchen and came back in to get them and roaches scattered off our lunches. I had to sit there and eat it so I wasnt rude. Good times!

I have only been living here for a couple months now. Staff is very nice and helpful. They maintain the property fairly well in my opinion. They have cleaning staff that clean the hallways and elevators once a week. They keep the garbage picked up pretty well. It would be nicer and cleaner if everyone in the building picked up after themselves. Other renters are fairly nice. I haven’t had any issues with anyone. It does get a little loud at times. But that can’t be helped with people just living their lives. I am really enjoying living in this building so far. Sometimes an elevator is down but there are two of them. You might have to wait a little bit for one at times. There are also stairs if you want to take them. Overall it’s a nice place to live.

Would not recommend!! You will find needles and crack pipes laying around! Pics to prove! Gross Environment for living and management is very unprofessional with lack of knowledge. Building was renovated but tenants are still having same issues they had before renovation with leaks coming from walls and ceiling, cracks in ceilings, mold growing on floors, walls and in bathrooms area. One man had mold all over his apartment, covering all his personal belongings. No windows for ventilation! RUN! But if you like cheap rent with no human decency go for it!

They don't change the filters like they should, every 3 months... really? with all the people that smoke in this building every 10 days my filter looks like it was smoking. I buy my own filters and still maintenance won't come change my filter even with me calling and sending pics to corporate of how BLACK my filter is. Then someone hit my car i asked management Michael Bland to check the cameras to see who hit my car on Tuesday on Friday he put a note in my door saying they aren't responsible for our personal property (never said you were) so get renters insurance. That wasn't what i asked... I wish i could add pics.

This place is awful they do not change the filters they do not treat humans like human beings the front desk ladies are so rude and disrespectful this is the worst place you could live in downtown Newport News it is dirty they do not change the air filters they do not come up to fix things when you put in a request they have on their amenities that maintenance 24 seven and that is a lie they always have new maintenance people this is the worst place to live in downtown Newport News yes they renovated but things are still breaking and still cracking in multiple people on the 11th floor where I live still have leaky ceilings cracks in the wall and just things that are supposed to be fixed that they do not fix even when you try to call corporate it’s hard to even figure out which number is co
