The Standard at Westlake

I am anticipating the day I leave this low quality complex. This is Summerwood not the trenches but I can see its slowly turning into it. If you google reviews of all the apartment complexes in this surrounding area, Standard at Westlake has the lowest ratings. There’s a reason for that. This is the most ran down apartment I’ve ever rented. It wasn’t always like this. Littering, loud music, thugs hanging out back, gate wide open for thieves, etc. I’m scared. I wake up during all times of the night checking my vehicle. I’m really scared for my safety, the people who are moving in are also sketchy. I’m truly disgusted.

Very nice apartments. A lot more of paperwork compared to past apartment I moved from. Did not explain well how the electronic pass key works. Visitor parking area to the extreme. Located on the backside of community and my apartment is located on the front side. A bit of a walk for family and friends. Good aspect is the shopping is directly across the street from the front gates. Retail, grocery and restaurants. A real plus. It was worth my move here.

This is truly curious. Now they have the residents busy and trying to make sure everything is perfect, yet they can't fix their own problems: the doors, the security, and if I made a list, we wouldn't finish today. I would advise them that instead of trying to make the residents on the first floor, who are the ones who can easily see everything, have everything perfect, I urge them to use that energy to at least fix the doors. We feel unsafe and tired of hearing their only response about the doors. We need action!

Once again, I'm here, but it seems the only way we can get answers is by posting our opinions and concerns here. These last few days they've been meticulously inspecting every apartment, balcony, trash can, pet waste—everything is perfect. The other day the Christmas lights were unnecessary; I don't know who that could bother, but I took them down anyway to get everything right. Today I received another letter because I have trash outside my door before closing time (which is fine, I admit), I accept it. But my question is, aren't there things we should really be focusing on? Like FINISHING FIXING THE CONDOMINIUM DOORS! And when I say doors, I mean all of them, even the smallest ones, because to get to the other side you have to take a horrible detour to get access there. They always give
