The Square at 511 Apartments

Reconsider moving here. As a resident since 2023, the property has truly gone downhill over time and it's a shame. Tesfaye and Ms. Benita are wonderful and I appreciate all that they do and have done during my time in knowing them. The maintenance staff are also diligent at doing their job and they do their best to maintain the property. While the parking is affordable, the staff are kind and all of the pros, (spacious units, great views), it doesn't compare to the fact that the building has a serious rodent issue. I've lived on the 14th floor and from late 2025-present, I've experienced 2 mice in my unit. I never used to have this issue until recently and it's very unsettling. Between neighbors living foul, different pest control companies, I simply will not be renewing my lease here. Thi

From day one Tesfaye assistant property manager has been extremely helpful and welcoming. Made the lease signing and move in process very easy and smooth. Always ready to help and his smile is uplifting every morning. Overall great place to live. Maintenance is very responsive, and cleanliness is daily throughout the building,

FIVE STARS FOR TWO THINGS BELOW. I have lived in this building across many different management companies. This property has many issues which seem to have gotten worse since being purchased by ADHC/ getting grant from Amazon/ managed by SLNussbaum (no more security; parking lot gate broken; frequent “emergencies” resulting in no water; no AC multiple times EVERY YEAR with unsafe interior temperatures; so many roaches and mice; water pouring through closed windows during storms). Now they won’t even spray for bugs unless there is an infestation. They have also added new monthly fees that didn’t previously exist. Two things make living here acceptable, and are responsible for the FIVE STARS: 1 The location is pretty great. 2. Mr. Tesfaye Mekunia. He is the assistant manager of the property

This is terrible. I have lived in America for 10 years. This is the worst experience I have had. I should have believed in the reviews. I started living here in a different unit for a month. That unit was totally fine. Since I moved to the new unit. My biggest nightmare has started. The floor has so many holes on it. Even peeling off at some places. Water runs as weak as someone is crying. The shower is broken for days. Even right after the maintenance man just fixed. I keep reporting, and they don't even come to fix it. I don't have hot water to shower. There is a hole on the ceiling. Curtains is un even. Light has cracks on it. The washer and dryer won't dry your clothes. The elevators are broken all the time. This place is a disaster to live in… to you give an example it’s peak winter time there’s no heat in this building… it’s 2 am and my whole apartment sits at 55 degrees I’m having to go pay out of pocket for a hotel because i got SICK due to this issue im afraid ill get worse so I booked a hotel while rent is Due tomorrow. imagine no heat during winter/ no AC during summer that’s what this place offers with nothing but excuses for poor communication and maintenance, Management believes sending an email to every one in the building fixes everything. without actually fixing anything.
