The Sloan at LoSo

I love love love the Sloan so far! I’ve lived here for 3 months now and I love it. Best apartment I’ve lived at yet. The location is perfect in my opinion! It’s still in South End but it’s like tucked away just perfectly to where you don’t have to deal with any of the South End drama and craziness! The only downfall is the mail situation. So still can’t change my address to here due to it “still being so new” but other than that, it’s been great! I love our concierge, Justin. He is so nice and knowledgeable and if you ever have any issues with packages, app issues, etc he is always so helpful! He always greets you with such a warm and genuine hello as well and it makes you being a resident feel so amazing! Our barista, Fi, is amazing as well! I’ve visited my friend here a few times and every time I’ve come there’s a wild amount of overflowed, smelly trash. (See pictures from various days.) The hallways smell like trash, dog trash bins overfilled, dog poop (including many traces of foot prints stepping in it) in most grass areas… just not the cleanest or most sanitary place to live. I could also talk about the non-existent guest designated parking spots, which makes it hard if you’re just swinging through for a dinner. And the fact that there isn’t enough resident parking near the buildings. Given they underdeveloped parking, they just added a sketchy gravel lot far away from the buildings/neighborhoods with none or very minimal lights, so it makes it unsafe for residents to walk back at night. I can’t say enough good things about The Sloan at LoSo. The community is well maintained, the location is fantastic, and living here has been a great experience overall. I especially want to recognize Jenna, the property manager. She is extremely professional, genuinely kind, and always handles things promptly. Anytime I’ve needed assistance, she’s followed up and made sure everything was taken care of without delay. That level of consistency and care really makes a difference. Jenna is hands down the best property manager I’ve ever had. 10 out of 10 — I highly recommend living here.

Moved in about a year ago, and had no issues! The staff are all super friendly, and always willing to help, Justin, Jada, Jenna, all of them! I love all the different types of events the put on and frequency of them. The golf simulator is always amazing! I think one of the con’s can be parking, but that wouldn’t deter me from staying here. The pro’s out weight the con’s.

Cons: -Parking is an absolute nightmare. Literally have to Uber to places so I don't have to move my vehicle. They have more apt units than parking spaces. Grand. -Khiara is unprofessional, inexperienced and incompetent. "Manager" is a word that gets thrown around too loosely without proper qualifications and experience. This is coming from someone who has worked years in property management. -They pick and choose when they want to respond to emails, depending on the issue. Pros: Let's see....maintenance always respectful and professional! Justin, the concierge is a gem to the community, he's kind, friendly and professional. -The events are nice. -The apartments/floorplans are nice. I have experienced no issues in my unit.
